We offer an exciting range of services and activities for children and young people.

Weekly Sunday Services

Children’s Church 10am
For children of pre-school and primary school age
Story time, activities, crafts and prayers in the church lounge

 

Activity bags are provided for toddlers staying in church with their families.

 

The Group 10am
For young people at secondary school. This takes place in the Youth Room.

Child’s Space 10.30am
An area at the front of the church is intended for themed play.
It is equipped with interactive Bible-based toys.

 

The play area enables children with their families to take part in the service.

Young Praise 10.30am
For children of pre-school and primary school age
Story time, activities, crafts and prayers in the church hall

 

There is a play area within the church.

 

The Choir

Some girls and boys from the age of 8 are members of our choir.

 

Weekday Toddler Praise

For pre-school children and their parents, grandparents, carers and childminders
Children enjoy singing, craft, a Bible story, prayer, free play and refreshments.

Other Benefice Groups

Messy Church is for families who live anywhere. The family service takes place at St George’s Church on the first Saturday of every month during term-time, from 4.30 to 6pm. Accompanied babies, toddlers and children of pre-school and primary age are all welcome for a service of praise, singing, Bible story, prayer, activities and craft. A hot meal is served for everybody to share. There is no charge.

Late Net is for young people of secondary school age. It is open to anybody of any background. The group meets in St George’s Church every Wednesday from 7 to 9pm during term-time.

As well as a short God slot, you will enjoy playing sport and games, entertainment, beanbags, socialising and a tuck shop.
