Tim Parsons began playing the piano and singing at the age of seven and was taken through his piano grades by Richard Baulch.
He studied the organ with Berkeley Hill at St. Leonard's Church in Hythe and during his time there accompanied the choir on various Cathedrals trips including weeks at Lincoln; Bristol; Bath Abbey and Peterborough. In addition to his post at St. Leonard's, he also directed the choir and played the organ at St. Paul's, Church, Sandgate and played for services at St. Martin's Church, Horn Street.
Since 1993, Tim has been responsible for the music at Holy Trinity Church and has taken the choir to sing the daily services at many cathedrals including Wells; Christ Church, Dublin; Rochester; St Edmundsbury, Ely, Bath Abbey, Lincoln, Lichfield, Canterbury, Christ Church, Oxford, Gloucester, Chichester, Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral, London. He has also played for and conducted several combined Deanery and RSCM choirs in Canterbury Cathedral.
In addition to his musical commitments Trinity, Tim is also the regular accompanist for Folkestone Choral Society and the Shepway Singers, playing the organ, harpsichord or piano. In 2009, the Choral Society Summer concert included Tim playing the Poulenc organ concerto with the Amberley Orchestra and in 2017 he played the Saint-Saens "Organ" Syphony No.3 with Folkestone Symphony Orchestra.
