Weddings at Holy Trinity

'The time finally arrived for us to plan our wedding and we always knew that we wanted to get married at Holy Trinity; the church is beautiful and has always been a part of our lives. My parents got married in the church over 40 years ago (they celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in 2015), along with many other family members.

We have attended many ceremonies at Holy Trinity Church over the years. It has a friendly community and you always feel welcome even if you only attend occasionally.

We were delighted to book our wedding for 16 May 2015 and we attended the wedding event that was organised back in March by the church.

This event was a massive help when organising a church wedding as it allowed us to find out more about how the ceremony ran, and all the different options we could have throughout our wedding ceremony.

It also allowed us to ask any questions we had on music choices, readings and the ceremony that we were not entirely sure about.

The church looks absolutely stunning and the new lighting makes a huge difference and really enhances its features.

Our wedding day was perfect, due to a lot of help and support from the church and we would like to say a big thank you to all of you.’

'From the moment we got engaged we knew we wanted a traditional church wedding.

To us, marriage is about becoming one family and bonded together in the eyes of God. This would have lost some of its significance had we opted for a ceremony somewhere other than a church.

I felt a strong connection with Holy Trinity church as I had attended special Christmas services there throughout my time at secondary school; later the congregation welcomed our family with open arms.

The church itself is breathtakingly beautiful, especially now that there has been new lighting fitted throughout.

We attended the Wedding Event organised by the church a couple of months before our wedding and this event was invaluable to us as it gave us an opportunity to run through the order of the ceremony, hear organ music and reading samples, and just chat to other couples also getting married soon.  We asked all of our questions in an informal setting and felt a lot more at ease afterwards!

The wedding day itself went without a hitch and many of our guests commented on how stunning Holy Trinity is and how lovely the ceremony was.

We cannot thank Holy Trinity and Reverend Kate McNeice enough.’
