After much prayer, discussion and consultation, the PCCs of the Trinity Benefice have accepted for 2015 and beyond these priorities:
TO PRAY – We will together encourage everyone to develop an intentional and life‑giving routine of prayer, and to become involved in the prayer life of the Benefice. We will support this by organising prayer events: quiet days, prayer days, a week of guided prayer, individual guidance on prayer, teaching on public and private prayer, and opportunities to pray regularly with and for others.
TO CONNECT more effectively with our communities. We will use every tool available to us to try to understand better the community around us. We will work together to find effective ways to connect with individuals and institutions in the community, and to help every member of the congregation to live out their faith in their daily lives. We will do this by preaching, teaching and taking every opportunity to develop relationships with those around us.
TO DRAW NEARER TO GOD – We will ensure that everyone is able to have an encounter with the living God through our worship, fellowship, learning and pastoral care. We will ask the question of all that we do – 'Does this draw people closer, or push them further away?' – and where necessary we will change the way we do things in order to help people find the living God.
